Midsummer, with fields and gardens bearing fruit and grains. Although there is plenty of growing season yet before us, Lammas reminds us that Autumn is on the horizon. This New Moon we might reflect on which projects we wish to prioritise in the coming weeks of late summer.
Celebrated in early August (approximately halfway between the Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox), it is the very height of Summer and sometimes known as Lammas, or the “First Grain Harvest”. It signifies the point at which the first fruits of the land are ready to be harvested. The first loaves are made at this time, and a proportion of the harvest given back to the land in gratitude, or saved to become the seeds of next year's Harvest.
It's a time for expressing gratitude to the Earth for her gifts.

Chair Yoga In-Person Classes start 11 September:
These adaptive Chair Yoga classes will run on Wednesdays 10:00-11:00 at Bristol Yoga Space, a peaceful and traditional yoga studio in Bishopston in Bristol. It was awarded the *Best Yoga Studio in Bristol Award 2024*. Known for offering “real yoga for real life”, it felt like a good home for my chair yoga! I have spent a lot of time there as a yoga student over the years, and I am very excited to be teaching in this dedicated yoga space.
