🌿 What Our Community Is Saying About Rest Refuge Yoga 🌿
I wanted to share some of the lovely feedback I've received which truly reflects the safe, supportive, and judgment-free space I aim to create:
✨ "I really appreciate what you're doing for people who are so often criticised (by themselves or health care professionals) for not moving 'enough'…"
✨ "The thing I love about your classes is that unlike most of the yoga classes I’ve attended or tried to follow on DVDs, there’s no pressure or judgment. I can just relax, listen to my body, and get the most out of the practice FOR ME. That’s exactly what yoga should be!"
✨ "I really enjoyed the first session I joined, and appreciate the level of care you had both in pacing the movement and in your choice on non-demanding language."
This class is ideal for those with long-term conditions or anyone who feels like they don’t fit into a typical yoga class. It’s all about moving at your own pace, resting when needed, and practicing without any pressure to “keep up”.
With only 6 in-studio spots available, there’s plenty of room to relax, move at your own pace, and truly focus on yourself. We have bolsters, blocks and cushions for extra support and there’s even underfloor heating to ensure you're cozy throughout your practice in these colder months!
Rest is encouraged—whether you need to lie down, take a break, or simply focus on your breath. For those who can’t put too much weight on their shoulders or knees, we offer chair options that provide support.
At the end of class, we enjoy a soothing guided relaxation, perfect for lying down and allowing your body and mind to fully unwind. If getting on or off the floor feels challenging, you’re welcome to relax comfortably in your bed or sofa at home, or remain seated in a chair in the studio—whatever feels best for you.
